I. What Information Do We Collect?

We receive certain information from you that you voluntarily provide us with for the successful consummation of your payment journey. Further, we collect information such as account credentials from your account created with Indiamart Intermesh Limited (“Indiamart”) for payment security reasons. Once you login to our PWIM platform using your credentials as registered on the site of Indiamart (indiamart.com), we receive the below information from Indiamart:

  • We receive your name, phone number, address, bank account details, location, GST, if and in the manner you have provided the same to Indiamart.
  • Information related to the type of apps installed in a mobile device, such as the name of the app, an app description and the category it belongs to.
  • Bank Details: When you use PWIM, we may collect and store your bank account information that you voluntarily provide us with. Your bank details are stored in accordance with the standard protocols of security and law.
  • Other Personal Information: In addition to bank details, we may also collect and process other personal information necessary to provide our services, which may include but is not limited to: Contact information (e.g., name, address, email, phone number, location, and GST number); Transaction history; business related information.
  • Communication history with our support team: Please be aware that calls to and from us and you may be recorded and will be used to monitor our customer service for quality or compliance purposes, to check the accuracy of the information you provide us, for fraud prevention purposes, or to provide training to our staff and the same will also be governed by the provisions of this Privacy Policy. When you receive a call from us, by picking up such a call and thereafter continuing the same, you are consenting to this specific use of our services, and when you place a call with us you are accepting that you are comfortable with this collection of data in this specific manner.
  • Certain information, like your IP address, or browser, and information about your computer’s operating system, application version, language settings and pages that have been shown to you. Information that identifies your mobile device, device-specific settings and characteristics and latitude/longitude details.
We may also send the phone number you enter on our platform to fetch the details in relation to your unique ID that is created simultaneously with the creation of your account on Indiamart.
You understand that these are information that you have voluntarily provided us with for the legitimate purposes as contained in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.

PWIM may ask you to provide your personal information, demographic information or the information about your preferences or interests when you:
  • Use PWIM: Details of transactions, including payment history, payment amounts, and dates. Information generated by server logs, which may include IP addresses, browser types, and operating systems.
  • Participate in surveys or any promotion.
  • Participate on social media accounts involving our contributors.
  • Submit user-generated information on any part of PWIM that permits it.
  • Use specific settings, preferences, and customizations that enhance the user experience.
  • You understand that this is information that you have voluntarily provided us with for the legitimate purposes as contained in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.

  • To inform you about the latest services and promotional offers, by sending mails to the email id that you provide.
  • To give you accurate and prompt customer support partners.

  • To customize PWIM as per your requirements and preferences.
  • To conduct research surveys and cross-sectional studies among customers. Kindly note that we can send you emails for this purpose.
  • To send you our regular newsletters by email. You can however opt out, or unsubscribe, from marketing communication at any time.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and other illegal or unwanted activities which may harm you.
  • To Improve our services, enhance user experience and improve the functionality and quality of our online services.
  • To share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and publishers to develop content and services we hope you will find of interest.
  • To share information with government or investigative authorities if we are required by law (or any regulation having the force of law) to do so.
  • To share it with our insurers and with regulatory agencies.
  • To update your details including your bank account details when you update the same here to ensure uniformity across platforms including on your account at indiamart.com
  • To enable fraud prevention/detection by meaningfully assisting and cooperating with investigating agencies and various state instrumentalities such as law enforcement bodies.
  • To enable better service for all concerned parties including availing of a smooth dispute resolution when such a conflict arises.
  • To comply with extant laws and regulations.


IV. What Information We Store and How-

We might store name, address, email id, business account details, PAN, GST details etc., which you might have disclosed in order to use our Platform. Your details are stored in our system which includes the PWIM Database as well as a common database that we share with Indiamart in accordance with the standard protocols of security and law. We do this to generate GST details and Credit Notes for the concerned seller in a particular transaction.

We might also store information like-
1. IP address, or browser, and information about your computer’s operating system, application version, language settings
2. Mobile device, device-specific settings and characteristics and latitude/longitude details
3. Type of apps installed on a mobile device, such as the name of the app, an app description and the category it belongs to.

V. Disclosure of Your Information

Information we may collect from you may be disclosed and transferred to external service providers who we rely on to provide services to us or to you directly. For instance, information may be shared with:
  • Our affiliates, partners or service providers
  • To banks or Service Providers, collection agents or credit agencies. In addition, we may use your information to prevent fraud or assess and manage risk or evaluate your credit-worthiness and associated risks or protect your account from fraudulent activity (and alert you if we detect such fraudulent activity on your accounts).
  • Government or regulatory or law enforcement agencies, as mandated under statutory enactment, for verification of identity or for prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, prosecution and punishment of offences.
  • To Business partners for sending their business offers to the users, which are owned and offered by them solely without involvement of the site. (The usage of such websites by the user will be governed by their respective Privacy Policies and the present Privacy Policy will not apply to usage of such websites. The users of such websites are cautioned to read the privacy policies of such websites.)

The services offered by PWIM are not for the Users who are under the age of 18. When we receive information from a User under the age of 18, we reserve the right to delete it.

You undertake to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself and your business as is required on the site and to keep it true, accurate, current and complete at all time. In case of any untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete information, We reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access rights to the site or any portion thereof. YOU ARE ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR PASSWORD AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION. FURTHERMORE, YOU ARE ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL ACTIVITIES THAT OCCUR UNDER YOUR ACCOUNT.

In case any information is shared by you with us, which is not requested by us during registration or otherwise, (whether mandatorily or optionally), we will not be liable for any information security breach or disclosure in relation to such information.
